Healing From Within
In our work together, my intention is to hold a space in which you can begin to relate to yourself with a sense of curiosity and gentleness. It is common to struggle with letting in and allowing the full range of emotions, cutting us off from being our whole selves. Together, we can begin to grow this capacity and move towards wholeness. I believe that the therapeutic relationship itself is integral to the healing that takes place in therapy. When we feel safe enough to trust and open up, then we can begin the work we need to do on ourselves.
My training is in Contemplative Psychotherapy from Naropa University, an approach which includes awareness of present moment experience, attention to the body and its wisdom, and a framework of spaciousness. As a therapist, it is important to me to work in collaboration with you, knowing that you hold your own unique and innate wisdom about what is needed.
My areas of focus include struggles with food and body image, LGBTQAI+ identities, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, relationships and more. I see the presenting issues that plague us humans as symptoms of a deeper pain, and that is what we will work to contact and bring healing to in our time together.
